This interactive science portfolio explores the human heart through both scientific understanding and the stories of discoveries that shaped modern cardiology.
Each section approaches the heart through a different theme, using anecdotes, storytelling, visual analogies, and interactive design to translate cardiovascular science for audiences from diverse backgrounds.
The human heart is more than a mechanism—it is a remarkable structure capable of resilience, rhythm, and adaptation. This portfolio ultimately invites us to marvel at the organ that quietly sustains life.

This portfolio grew out of my monograph 7 Wonders of the Heart. While writing it, I realized that learning about the heart was not only about memorizing anatomy or physiology, but about finding meaningful ways to understand and explain it. Searching for creative analogies and stories to illustrate the heart’s complexity deepened my own understanding and made the subject even more fascinating to me. Many of the ideas explored on this website—connecting cardiology with music, everyday systems, imagination, and history—emerged from that process. What began as an effort to explain the heart to others ultimately became a journey of discovery for myself. In many ways, this portfolio continues that same pursuit: exploring the heart not only as a biological organ, but as a source of curiosity, creativity, and lifelong scientific passion.
